Product Description
A bleed ring, vent ring, or drip ring can provide a beneficial way of draining piping, taking samples, attaching instruments or even bleeding of a valve. They can also be used with a valve and/or blind flange, which allows you to reduce and dispose of the pressure for your valve before you remove the flange.
HT PIPE'S bleed rings can come in any material or size, and are designed for connecting valves and instruments. Raised face, ring type joint (RTJ) dimensions and tolerances are manufactured meeting ASME/ANSI B16.5 and B16.20 specifications. For ring joints (RJ), female oval ring grooves are standard, but male joints are available upon request.
While USA Industries can custom make bleed rings in any material upon request, standard materials available include carbon steel (516-Gr70 & A105/LF-2) and Stainless Steel (304 & 316). You can pick between threaded or socket-weld connections, raised-face (125-250 RMS) or ring type joint (RTJ) (male or female), and oval or octagonal gasket types.
HT PIPE provides one 1/2" or 3/4" threaded or socket-weld tap. Multiple taps can be provided, but must be oriented by customer. The thickness of a ring may be affected if larger taps are requested. One coat of black lacquer is applied to all carbon steel plate products unless specified differently.
